Tesla Hickey

Chair

My name is Tesla Hickey and I am the YAB Chair. I have been a member for three years, and I was the Treasure for the past two years. I joined YAB after hearing a presentation from a now former YAB member at my school during science class. I realized that even though I was young, I could do something to help clean up the watershed and educate younger kids/ kids my age. I enjoy playing the piano and violin, as well as my passion for clean watersheds. My hobbies are photography, various forms of artworks, Dr. Who, LOTR, Hunger Games, and HP (basically anything Geek). I look forward to the many projects that YAB is set to undertake this year and I would love to see you join!!

Katie Zucker

In addition to YAB, I enjoy lots of things, including outdoor activities such as hiking and snowboarding, drawing, math, and music. I play the harp, and also the old-time fiddle. I have been doing YAB for four years, and I am now the co-chair for YAB. I love animals, and I also enjoy glass fusing.

Nathan Zucker

Nathan has been in YAB for 3 years. He is currently 13 years of age. His hobbies include playing guitar, camping, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, playing airsoft, and cleaning streams.

Hello there! I am Paige Staubly. I am currently 17 years, and I have been involved with Youth Advisory Board for about four years. So far, my favorite part has been educating other youth and adults on environmental issues, along with getting others involved. I am currently homeschooled, but I also attended University High School and an environmental semester school called “Conserve School.” In addition to YAB secretary, I am a current 4-H member, an avid outdoors-woman, and a vegetarian. I also enjoy art, sports, camping, volunteering, animals, traveling, and music.

I am 17 years old, and a junior at Morgantown High School. I love to play Old Time fiddle and mandolin, and classical piano. I am a big fan of photography (particularly in nature), and really enjoy being outdoors. I have been in the Friends of Deckers Creek Youth Advisory Board for six years now, and am really looking forward to seeing what this New Year will bring to the organization.

Hi, I'm Logan, I'm 13 years old and in 7th grade at Suncrest Middle. I love working with YAB on all sorts of projects especially on murals. Also I love snowboarding with my friends, Liam, Nathan and Emerson.

I am 17 years old and a junior at Morgantown High School. I enjoy music and have been a member of YAB for around two years. I look forward to the future of YAB and hope new members will continue to expand our organization.

My name is Shruthi Sreekumar. I am a 16year-old Junior at Morgantown High School. I joined YAB to get involved in my community and address the issues concerning our environment. I love to read and paint during my free time.

Lily Bailey

I am a 16 year-old junior at Morgantown High School. In my free time I'm a member of the school marching band and I love the outdoors. I joined YAB to become more aware of our community's environment and to spread our message throughout the community as well.

Emma Mathers

My name is Emma Mathers and I am a 16-year-old junior at Morgantown High School. For the past two years, I have been participating in the EnvironMentors science research program, and through the program, I have gotten to know Shannon Arbogast. She is the one who got me interested in joining YAB. I love studying environmental science and I hope to be able to educate and share my interest with the community, through my involvement with YAB. In my free time, I enjoy figure skating, playing the piano, and following and debating politics.
